【The six floats line up side by side】
There are six floats in the Nagao district of Taketoyo Town, and at the annual Takeo-jinja Shrine Spring Festival held in April, the six floats are dedicated to the tutelary Takeo-jinja Shrine of the district. The six floats lined up in the shrine grounds make for the largest such number in Chita Peninsula, and are prominent in scale even within Aichi Prefecture. The highlight of the festival is the dynamic pulling of the floats in and out of the spacious shrine grounds. On the night before the Main Festival, all the floats parade with lit lanterns from the Takeo-jinja Shrine to JR Taketoyo Station. In the Main Festival, a dedication of a Karakuri puppet show, children's Sanbaso dance, and shrine maiden dance take place.
