  • Tsushima-jinja Shrine Tenno Festival
According to generations of predecessors, the Tsushima-jinja Shrine Grand Festival was held from before the Meiji period, and was commonly known as the festival of Otenno-san.
Initially, the sound of the festive drumming was the main feature of the festival, and people used to carry drums on carts and play them. The present float came from Terabe to Yakusa in 1936.
The float is assembled in front of the shrine, decorated with lanterns, and dedicated together with the sounds of drums.
Over 100 lanterns are lit on the three-tier float, and the sound of the drums played by children on the float and that of the drumming by adults outside the float fuse in harmony.
