At Kida Hakken-sha Shrine, the Yunohana Shinto ritual designated as the city's cultural property is held on the 2nd Sunday of October every year. Cooking stoves are set up in front of the front shrine, water is boiled and offered to the deities, and people drink this water with a prayer for good health and the wellbeing of their family members. The float festival is held in the afternoon. Six festival floats all together, one from each town of Kojimamachi, Higashimachi, Honmachi, Miyamachi, Teramachi, Higashi-Shinmachi, parade around the towns to very lively festival music of gongs and drums that follow the music of the Ishidori Festival of Kuwana. A pair of male and female decoration dolls, both with different expressions, are placed aboard the float.
